apb's fifth release One day (1983) was recorded at Plaza Sound Studios in the Radio City Music Hall building in Manhattan. The infamous studio was used by Blondie , the Ramones and many more. The track would be their final release on Aberdeen's Oily label and was produced by New York dj Ivan Ivan. London independent label Albion signed the band and for their first release they decided on an EP comprising Danceability Parts I & 2, the Peel session track Crazy Grey and the hard to find singles Palace Filled With Love and Rainy Day. The boys were busy in 83, opening for the Jam on their final and only Scottish date in Glasgow's Apollo and for James Brown in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. BBC Radio football pundit Stuart Cosgrove saw the show, having been studying in the States at the time.
